Some absolutely stunning views out towards Pen Llyn this evening as we were diverted away from an accident on the road to Porthmadog.
Looking forward to a lovely couple of days relaxing by the sea!

Well it's certainly starting to warm up and the many beaches here are becoming more inviting every day! The vast majority of them up here are beautiful golden sand, some stretch out into the distance forever, some are lovely sheltered coves.
My favourite beach is 'lifeboat bay'. Growing up spending a lot of time here with my grandparents living in Morfa Nefyn, it was just a short walk down the beach road and then a slightly longer one over to the bay, but it was worth it for the silky soft sand, the cliff to climb up and the warm sheltered water 😍
There is still plenty of availability over Easter and further into spring and summer so please do contact me if you would like to visit. I only ask £25 per person per night to cover the basic bills.

When staying at Glasfryn I often pop down to for a lovely breakfast on the Sunday morning, followed by a nice walk. What's your fav place to have breakfast out on the Llyn?

Sometimes there's nothing better than scones with clotted cream, jam and a pot of tea after a lovely seaside walk! Lovely food as always courtesy of the tea room at Plas Yn Rhiw which will open again in time for Easter.

The big question of course is how do you have yours?! Cream then jam (the proper way) or jam then cream?

A gloriously sunny and warm day for a walk! Starting out in Abersoch and an amazing bacon ciabatta roll at we headed along the beach and up onto Mynydd Cilan and around to Porth Ceiriad before looping back to Abersoch.

Time for a cheeky nap now before heading to later for dinner!

After an incredibly busy past 5 months it's so good to be back at Glasfryn. My friend and I arrived just before sunset and had a walk around the village before settling in front of the fire with a cuppa and now we're off to .wales for our traditional Fri evening pizza 🤤😃

Remember the cottage is available to book for 2025. £25 per person, per night and it sleeps 6 plus a cot for a little one (no charge for babies in cots).

It's getting to that time of year when a lovely walk down on the beach just has to be followed up by getting your feet up in front of a roaring fire with a nice cup of tea and a slice of bara birth!

OCTOBER HALF TERM is now AVAILABLE TO BOOK. (even if you don't fancy a dip in the sea!) A great time of the year for walking the beaches, hills and mountains before settling in for an evening with the log burner back at the Little Welsh Cottage ⛵👣🪵

I can highly recommend in Trefor for great food in a lovely setting, especially if coming back to the Llyn from a visit to Ynys Mon (Anglesey) or Caernarfon/Conwy/Llandudno. Trefor is also a great destination in its own right with its quaint little harbour, cute little cottages and a good starting point for some great walks (especially Yr Eifls for some stunning views!)

A lovely day out at Penryhn Castle today. The weather was lovely, the NT had put on a load of fun activities but even without that there was loads to do. The kids especially loved the adventure playground and spotting diving beetles and dragons flies in the ponds. Definitely recommend this for anyone visiting!

The closest beach to the cottage is backed by steep grassy cliffs and famously known as ‘Whistling Sands’, a nickname based on the sound the granules make underfoot when you walk over its gleaming sand. The sound is created due to the shear stress of weight that is put upon the sand, there are only two beaches in the whole of Europe where you can experience this for yourselves 🩵
