Crocodile Bridge Camp Kruger National Park South Africa

Captured at first light in Lisbon, this behind-the-scenes moment shows how I photographed the iconic Vasco da Gama Bridge using a long exposure technique.

The conditions weren't perfect — choppy water and moving tides — but with a 10-stop ND filter, I was able to smooth the scene and create a more atmospheric, minimalist image that reflects the calm of sunrise along the Tagus River.

This is a short BTS clip from my Lisbon trip, where I focused on capturing quiet, meaningful moments rather than crowded viewpoints.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Technique: Long Exposure Photography
Gear: Canon R5 + ND Filter

A simple thing, done exceptionally well. This chicken shawarma is slow-grilled, deeply spiced, then finished in shallow clay pans gas-lit from underneath. Instead of reheating the bread on metal or in an oven, the flatbread is pressed directly into the hot clay, where it toasts gently, picking up texture, heat, and a subtle earthiness you don’t get any other way. This method isn’t common across the Middle East. It reflects Tunisia’s long tradition of cooking with clay from tabouna bread ovens to earthenware tajines where heat is absorbed, held, and released more softly than steel. The result is bread that’s toasted, not scorched, and shawarma that feels balanced rather than rushed.Garlic sauce, crunch, a touch of heat. Nothing excessive, nothing missing. , Tunisia. This is why we travel .

The Củ Chi Tunnels are a vast underground network in Vietnam used by Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War. They showcase incredible resilience and are now a powerful historical site near Saigon.

Mooncakes… A tasty Vietnamese snack for a rainy day. We were very kindly gifted this beautiful mung bean tradition pastry by a waitress at a local family run restaurant we had frequented during our stay. A shout out to Moc Coffee in Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh, Vietnam.🇻🇳 on the spot-nopriorwarning-sorry😜

Meet the Resplendent Quetzal – nature’s flamboyant show-off with a better fashion sense than most runway models!

This dashing gent was spotted striking a pose in the Costa Rican cloud forest, perched regally above some premium tree moss, possibly contemplating his next modelling gig or fruit snack.

Fun facts:
Quetzals are part of the trogon family and are known for their vibrant plumage and streaming tail feathers, especially in males during breeding season.
They thrive in high-altitude cloud forests of Central America and are frugivores, particularly fond of wild avocados!
Revered by ancient Mesoamerican cultures, the quetzal is a symbol of freedom and even gives Guatemala its currency name.

Sadly, despite their beauty, quetzals are classified as Near Threatened due to habitat loss.
