Our next stop on our TC fam trip is the beautiful Tsokwane Safari Lodge, where luxury tents sit right on the riverbank. Only open 6 months of the year, it’s all about reconnecting with nature.

We’re falling asleep to just the sound of the wild, waking up to birdsong and game calls, and stepping straight out onto our decks to watch for wildlife at the river edge.

Game drives, bush walks, wonderful food, crackling campfires, and falling asleep to the sounds of the night have given us a real taste of the wild, with a lovely touch of comfort and luxury back at the lodge.

First day in Kruger and the TC team are absolutely buzzing!

From the moment we passed through the park gates it felt like stepping into another world: big skies, the smell of the bush after the morning dew, and those spine-tingling moments when the vehicle goes quiet and everyone scans the horizon.

Today’s highlights:

🦁 Lion walking right past us in our vehicle
🐘 An elephant sighting, calmly grazing right by the track
🦒 Giraffes crossing over the road, silhouetted against the late afternoon light
🍹 Sundowners in the bush, watching the sky turn pink and orange

I’ve just arrived in South Africa on an exciting Travel Counsellors/Sense Of Africa educational trip, flying from Johannesburg into the Kruger region and checking in at the beautiful Angel’s View hotel.
