Most people visit Bali…
Stay in Seminyak,
See one temple,
Click a few photos… and leave.

But that’s not the real Bali.

The real Bali is watching the sunrise above the clouds at Mount Batur
Swinging over endless green rice terraces
Standing at the edge of cliffs at Uluwatu Temple during sunset
Chasing waterfalls like Tegenungan Waterfall
And exploring unreal island views in Nusa Penida

This is the Bali most people don’t experience.

Our itinerary is designed to take you there
✔ The right places
✔ The right timing
✔ Without the crowd chaos

So don’t just save this … experience it.

📩 DM me “BALI” and let the Travel Tailor plan your perfect trip.

𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫-𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐

I’ve had fun this week, exploring destinations I haven’t visited myself and pulled together the following itinerary that both my clients and I are very happy with … and without breaking the bank!

The brief was to keep it authentic – Riads rather than posh hotels – a few iconic cities with a trip into the mountains and desert to discover how the nomads live … their spend was around £2k per person.

Starting with 4 nights in a lovely Riad in Marrakesh, day 2 includes a half-day private discovery tour to get their bearings so that they can make the most of their time in the city.

On day 5, they will be picked up from their Riad and taken on a private, 3-night tour through the mountains to Fes. Along the way they will drive through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at Berber Villages and the Atlas Movie Studio before an overnight stay in the Dades Valley.

Continuing on the next morning through the Todra gorges, they’ll visit a fossil factory before reaching Merzouga where they will switch from 4 wheels to camels to cross the Sahara desert to their Luxury desert camp!

After the beautiful sunrise and a hearty breakfast they will return to Merzouga (on Camels or 4x4) and will take tea with the Nomads before visiting a sub-Saharan village for music and dance performances and to learn how the locals live. The afternoon will be for relaxing before dinner at their Riad.

The final day, they leave the desert and continue through river valleys and Cedar forests – where they can feed Barbary Macaques – through Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco, and on to Fes.

They have 3 nights to enjoy Fes - with a private walking tour of the Medina on day 2 - before their private transfer to a boutique hotel in the Blue city of Chefchaouen where they will spend the night.

With the morning for exploration, after lunch they will take another private transfer to have one night in Casablanca before travelling back to Marrakech by train for their final 2 nights.

The best bit … all of this for less than £2,250 per person!

𝐇𝐮𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲 𝐅𝐁 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬!

I'm glad to say that I am busier than ever crafting wonderful trips and I haven't had time to do so. Here is a taster of what I've been working on:

* A bespoke 4-week, off-the-beaten-track holiday to Japan for a family of 4

* A celebratory trip to the US with a few days in Nashville, a stay at a Ranch, a visit to the Grand Canyon, all rounded off with a week in Las Vegas!

* A fully tailored 50-day, Round-the-World adventure for one of my best clients - including 3 weeks in New Zealand and the finale in the Galapagos!

* Quite a number of last minute get-aways for solos, couples and families.

* Numerous short breaks, ski trips, beach escapes and cruises for 2026 and 2027
.. and a whole lot more!

If you'd like my help with your next adventure, please do get in touch.

As I celebrate 5 years working in the travel industry, I'm delighted to announce that, in addition to working with the travel partners that you all know and love, I am now also able to create completely tailored, fully protected travel itineraries, at very competitive prices.

I will continue to post travel news and updates, any interesting projects I’m working on and share my own travel experiences – and will let you know of any great offers that I come across. In the meantime, do please get in touch if you need advice or want me to help you book your perfect escape.

Thank you all so much for sticking with me and I look forward to helping you create those magical memories.

Singapore: our final stop on, what has been, a wonderful adventure. It rained the first day so we took the hop-on/off bus tour and hopped off at Raffles for a couple of Singapore Sling’s … it had to be done!

The skies cleared for a spectacular light show at the Trees by the Bay in the evening.

We took it easy on the last day and were treated to a rare sighting of the otters as we finished lunch.

Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort: One and a half hours by boat from Sandakan, took us to a small tributary of the Kinabatangan River for the next 2 nights of our adventure. We had a fabulous chalet with a veranda overlooking the jungle and were very well fed.

We had several river cruises and a night walk, guided by Max who was extremely knowledgeable and had eyes like a hawk! If I were to choose a highlight (difficult!), it was sitting in our boat, about 20 feet from a huge male orangutan who had come down to the river for a breakfast of palm hearts … magical!

P.S. I purposefully didn’t add music as there are sounds of the jungle (and us 😂)

Sepilok Nature Resort: Situated next door to the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary, we made two visits at feeding time and were lucky to see quite a number of the Orangutans who live freely in the surrounding jungle. There is also a nursery for the babies who, whilst free to roam, tend to stay close by the sanctuary and their carers.

Being next to the resort, they did wander in from time to time and we were treated to a very close encounter with a mother and baby at the chalets.

Both mornings we were visited by a pair of courting Sun birds on the tree by our veranda!

We saw a few Sun Bears at the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre - all have been rescued from captivity, some having signs of the trauma they must have endured.
