Congratulations to all participants for your outstanding presentations, and thank you to our enthusiastic guests who filled the amphitheatre and enriched the discussions. This unforgettable experience reaffirmed that MAGS is a thriving hub for new friendships and partnerships. Did you know? MAGS 2025 provides participants with the oportunity to engage with two insightful workshops and two poster exhibitions!

Workshop 1: “Prehistoric Boatbuilding Tools: An Experimental Archaeology Workshop”

Hands-on experience! Dive into the production and use of prehistoric toolkits, learn about experimental archaeology methods, and discover the importance of identifying boatbuilding tools in the archaeological record.

Workshop 2: “Working with Funders”

Learn to craft successful grant applications, choose the right funding opportunities, and master communication and reporting once you’ve secured a grant.

Poster Exhibition 1: “Expeditions Monoxylon”

Explore the replica of the Bracciano Lake logboat and follow its sea routes across multiple expeditions since 1995, shedding light on prehistoric seafaring possibilities.

Poster Exhibition 2: “Fishing in the Ambracian Gulf: Fishing Techniques, Gear and Fish Species from Actia Nicopolis”

Discover the rich fishing heritage of the Ambracian Gulf, featuring mosaic depictions of gear and techniques from Roman and early Christian Nicopolis.

Submission Period: December 4, 2024 – January 4, 2025

Session Format: Online presentations

Eligibility: Open to presenters currently residing in Lebanon and are directly impacted by the circumstances in the region.
