Freedom Travel Club Update: Rhine & Danube Sailings
An important message regarding your upcoming river cruise.

We know that recent news reports regarding low water levels across Europe’s river networks might be causing some concern, particularly if you are eagerly anticipating an upcoming sailing on the Rhine or Danube. We want to be completely transparent with you: water levels in certain areas are currently at historic lows and can fluctuate rapidly, sometimes changing from one day—or even one hour—to the next.

Because of this, the outlook for individual sailings may continue to evolve right up until your departure date, and occasionally during the cruise itself.

Please be assured that your Freedom Travel Club team is on it. We are monitoring the conditions around the clock, working closely with captains, nautical experts, and our trusted local partners across Europe. We review every single sailing individually, and your safety, comfort, and overall holiday experience remain at the heart of every decision we make.

How We Will Keep You Informed
Rather than sending you piece-meal information that could quickly become outdated, we have designed a proactive, step-by-step communication plan to keep you completely in the loop regarding your specific journey:

For departures up to 5th August: Our team is actively reaching out to members in departure-date order with any necessary updates.

For departures after 5th August: You will receive dedicated email updates from us approximately 14 days and 7 days before you are due to travel. We will then contact you again 24 to 48 hours before departure to share the absolute latest position, explain any expected changes, and walk you through your options.

Your Cruise Experience
Currently, our cruises are continuing to operate. Where necessary, we are adapting itineraries to ensure you still have a fantastic time. These adjustments might include:

Changes to sailing schedules or excursion times

Alternative mooring locations

Carefully coordinated ship swaps, designed to let you continue your holiday with as little disruption as possible
