Join our rangers on a guided walk this summer! 🥾

Elan Village Tour (90 minutes) 🏘️
Including a history of the dams and village, the walk is roughly 2.5km long and follows footpaths or roads on a fairly flat surface.

Dambusters Guided Walk (3 hours) 🏞️
In addition to finding out about Nant y Gro's famous past, you will get to enjoy wonderful views across Caban reservoir. This 5km long walk can be strenuous in places and does include a steep hill climb.

Starting in , this moderately challenging trail takes you through parts of the valley in addition to the Elan valley and offers breathtaking views of both. A long and sustained climb early on is counterbalanced by an exhilarating descent back into Rhayader. What a ride!

Starting from , this route takes in ancient history, open hills and runs past four reservoirs.

When you're half-way around you might fancy stopping off for a cuppa at the Visitor Centre before dropping back down into Rhayader and to the end of your ride.
