From the cosy setup to the flowers, ch*****ne and all the little details. It was honestly such a privilege to be part of it.

I got the dream job… 💍🥹

A guest asked if I could help set up a proposal at Hilly, and obviously I jumped at the opportunity!

I know Hilly so well that I instantly had a vision in my head… but I knew my idea might be completely different to his, so I patiently waited for some inspo.

And then he told me I had full creative control. 👀

Well… say no more. 😂

Cue me collecting hurricane vases, candles, rose petals, balloons, ch*****ne (obviously 🥂) and chocolates before sneaking down to Hilly while they were out for dinner to bring it all together.

I was genuinely SO excited to be part of such a special moment. 🥹

And now the big question…

Did she say YES?! 💍👀

I’m saving that part for the next one… 🤭

Pure joy. Absolute 10/10 experience. 😂

We all belly-laughed, the kids thought I’d completely lost the plot, and I genuinely don’t think they understood quite how much I LOVE stamping on those shells to reveal a fresh, shiny conker. 🤣

Maybe it’s the midwife in me… or maybe it’s just pure nostalgia, but there’s something ridiculously satisfying about popping a fresh conker out. 🥹🌰

A simple Sunday, but one of those little family moments I hope the kids remember. ❤️

Dreaming of getting snowed in at Hilly this Christmas… 🎄🤍

Imagine waking up to a world covered in snow, with absolutely nowhere you need to be.

Coffee in bed. A slow morning. A lovely long bath, then straight into the hot tub while the world outside is freezing cold. ❄️

Later, wrap up warm and head outside to the fire pit, get the flames going and watch the stars above you. ✨

Then back inside to cosy up, put on your Christmas playlist and settle in for the evening.

No rushing. No plans. No noise.

Just that magical Christmas feeling. 🤍

I genuinely came on here to post ONE reel.

And somehow I’ve been sucked into watching a woman reorganise her kitchen, researching supplements I didn’t know I needed and convincing myself I need a new cleaning appliance. 😂

It’s so easy to get caught up in the constant noise of Instagram. More things to buy, more things to make, more things to clean, more things to improve.

And maybe we just need to stop for a minute.

Less scrolling.
Less comparing.
Less trying to have the “perfect” everything.

More time actually living.

That’s probably why I love Hilly so much. A little place to escape the noise, put the phone down and just be together for a couple of days.

Anyway… I’m off to finally post that reel.

Not a weekend packed with activities.
Not a holiday that needs another holiday afterwards.

Just a couple of nights to slow down, spend time together and remember what it feels like to have nowhere you need to be.

A set of fairy lights at Hilly somehow sent me down a much bigger rabbit hole…

Because when you run a small business, you’re accountable for the things that go wrong. You fix them, you deal with the consequences and you carry on.

So why does accountability seem to become so much more complicated when you have real power and decisions affect millions of people?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot since reading Careless People.

Meta probably won’t like this one. 😂

But I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts…
