What a fantastic day for our Royal Parks & Palace Walk yesterday!

Covering 12 miles through the heart of London, we took in many of the capital's iconic sights, wandering through several of the Royal Parks, past Buckingham Palace, through Trafalgar Square and Chinatown, up to Regent's Park, before heading back down to the riverside for a finish at the Tower of London.

One of the things I love most about these London walks is the "Look Up London" concept. Instead of rushing from place to place with our heads down, we take the time to look up and appreciate the incredible architecture around us. London really is a stunning city, with such a fascinating mix of styles, history and character.

We were lucky with the weather, enjoyed great company throughout, and it was wonderful to be back out walking with our lovely group.

While our regular Kent walks continue throughout the year, we also have a few longer adventures planned further afield, including Seven Sisters and Ashdown Forest. We'd love to have you join us on one of them.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable day. 😊

May’s women’s weekend walk was in Platt last weekend

Starting in the village of Platt, also called St Mary’s Platt, we headed out through the woodlands and into Offham, stopping for our group photo at the Quintain, a medieval tilting post used for jousting practice and the last remaining one in its original position in England.

From here, we joined part of the Wealdway, walking through beautiful rhododendrons before enjoying a slightly later lunch amongst the trees and heading back into the village via the churchyard. Molly abd Daisy were our fluffy friends on this walk 🐾 🐾.

Our next women’s walks are in Burham (Medway) and Bridge & Bishopsbourne (Canterbury region) and it would be great to have you along 💚

A brilliant day spent guiding with for a corporate walk from Wendover and out onto The Ridgeway.
A gorgeous woodland walk passing through The Chequers!
The last time I was in this area I was training for my Lowland Leader qualification so nice to be back and I remembered just how beautiful the Chilterns are.

Lovely to meet fellow guide Aaron and great energy from the group even up coombe hill.

Mental note made to return and complete The Ridgeway 🌰

Wealdway Stage 3 West Peckham -> Tonbridge.

This weekend we walked stage 3 of the WealdWay, its brilliant to be back on the trail with so many of our friends.
This section is a real treat because it's completely flat, and is one of the first signs that the landscape is starting to change.

We were treated to a really lovely array of wildlife along the river and the rain held out for us!! Thankfully, starting just as we got in our cars to return home.
We finished at Tunbridge Castle, so this will be our starting point to explore on stage four which starts heading through the High Weald and onwards towards Eastbourne.

We understand that these linear walks take a little bit more arranging, but we're so grateful that we've got a great gang doing the trail with us. And we thoroughly look forward to the stages each month

Another great weekend spent on trek26, this year in London.
Over the year Trek26 runs in 13 different locations, offering a 13 and 26 mile option to raise money for The Alzheimer Society.
Nearly £1,000,000 had been raised on Sunday from the 1800 participants.

As usual sone beautiful stories were shared on event day that makes the long days totally worth it.

Friday was route marking and Saturday was route checking followed by back marking. Getting the last people over the line is a brilliant end to a weekend!

The Shetland Islands 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Spent this last week training in Shetland for a season of guiding. My first time there and its seriously beautiful.

Very different to my beloved hebrides so grateful for the experience of exploring more of Scotlands islands.

Hardly any trees to be seen, dramatic coast lines, a bitterly cold wind, tradional 4 seasons in a day, incredible wildlife and a slowed down, traditional way of life working with the land and seasons.

Ive learnt about Shetland Ponies and sheep, coastal caves, neolithic villages, lighthouses, crofting, fire festivals, norse connections ,oil and much more. Hoping to see the orcas come July too 🙏

Looking forward to spending some of my summer up there and showing it off to more people.
