Tony always has a week in our holiday cottage every year to fish the Wye and the many carp pools in the area. Last week he caught an 11 1/2 lb barbel, the biggest he has ever caught in the river. Tony said October is a good time for fishing on the river as the cooler temperatures and volume of water in the river make for good fishing.
