Day 3 of the FAM trip

🚢 Bridge and Galley Tour 👨‍✈️👩‍🍳

⭐️A fascinating behind-the-scenes experience on board!

👨‍✈️Time to meet the Captain and the two officers on watch. We got to chat with the three of them to get a better understanding of what happens on the ship’s bridge in order for the ship to safely navigate in and out of port and to our next destination.

👨‍🍳Then we headed off to the galley to see the incredible operation behind preparing meals for hundreds or even thousands of guests.

⚓️From navigation screens to enormous kitchens, it’s a brilliant chance to see the hidden world that keeps a cruise ship sailing smoothly! 🍽️

And just like that it's time to pack and go home 🥲
But just another 5 days before I head out on my next advenure.

Day 3 of the FAM trip is all about shore excursions & formal night

🚗🇫🇷 Discover Honfleur in a classic Citroën 2CV!
🌻This was no ordinary sightseeing tour, it certainly had a a little more va-va-vroom. The Citroën 2CV tour is a wonderfully French way to explore the beautiful Normandy countryside and the historic harbour town of Honfleur.

🎢Wind along scenic country roads in the iconic “Deux Chevaux”, taking in charming villages, rolling countryside and spectacular coastal views.
❣️Sounds idyllic - but the reality was a little like being on one of those old wooden roller-coasters. Scream to go faster, hold on for dear life and laugh so much your cheek bones hurt!!!
In saying that - it has shot to the number one spot of most enjoyable shore excursions I’ve been on and over the years, I’ve experienced a few!

🤣 We had a blast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all round

On route we stopped for some c***r and cheese tasting at a traditional c***r estate, where you can discover how Normandy apples are transformed into c***r, pommeau and the famous Calvados. 🌳🍏

🚶‍♀️When we safely arrived back into town, we walked through Honfleur’s Historic harbour & pretty cobbled streets.

🍾 Our tour finished off in style at
La Ferme Saint Siméon Hôtel & Spa
a restored 17th Century Norman farmhouse with amazing views of the Seine estuary. We were treated to ch*****ne and canapés - the perfect energiser for our return to the ship for the formal night festivities 🛳️🇫🇷
