We have just returned from our family holiday in Mauritius (itโs winter over there - Who knew)!
The temperatures are a perfect 25 - 30 degrees on average in the summer (depending on which part of the island you visit) - Yes itโs tropical, which means the odd shower now and again (but you get that in the height of the summer in tropical countries) and check out the rainbow ๐
I often get asked if thereโs much to do for children in Mauritius, and what itโs like for families - With 4 children ranging from 4-10 there is so much for them. They become such happy balanced kids having freedom to find what they enjoy. No overstimulation, pure chill, boats, kayaks, peddle-boats, wind-surfing, diving, snorkeling, football, water-polo, volleyball and mixing with children from other countries and communicating with them and not a device in site. It is very special and magical and has definitely helped them grow in confidence and self-esteem.
The colours, the culture, calmness and happiness are hard to put in to words. The Mauritian flag ๐ฒ๐บ means so much more than you think:

๐ข Represents the agriculture and year-round greenery of the land.
We flew via Dubai from Birmingham this year (we usually fly direct from Gatwick but indirect was significantly cheaper). There were no issues in the Middle East.
