One of our favourite nearby adventures is a visit to Falling Foss 🌿

A beautiful woodland walk with waterfalls, winding paths and plenty to explore, it’s a brilliant outing for children and four-legged friends alike.

And at the end? The tea room is a real treat — perfect for refuelling with scone, jam & cream and a cuppa before heading back to the coast.

It’s around a 30-minute drive from Runswick Bay and always a firm favourite with our guests.

We’ve recently refreshed the lounge, dining room and hallway — leaning into warmer tones, softer finishes and a more relaxed, coastal feel.

Same space, but now even cosier for evenings in, slower mornings and time spent properly unwinding after a day by the sea.
