We started 20 years ago in the Italian Dolomites with one chalet, hosted by me and my wife, Dee. Now we are the

UK’s genuine specialist for walking holidays with a unique formula in the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian Alps – Zugspitz Arena or Hohe Tauern National Park, the Picos de Europa and the Pyrenees. Walking is the main attraction, but we also offer flower walks, painting strolls, cycling tours, glacier treks, via ferrata and much more. Other Collett’s holidays include: hiking the Camino de Santiago or the GR11 in Spain; self-guided hut to hut in the Dolomites and Austria; Spring and Autumn walking breaks in Andalucia – plus our ever-popular skiing and snowshoeing holidays in the Dolomites. For some UK walking, our gorgeous guest house in Wensleydale is the perfect springboard for the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We have also added a diverse range of self guided UK walking breaks with a little something to suit everyone. Our painstakingly‐recruited hosts and walkers set us apart from the rest. They don’t wear uniforms or sell excursions. They are simply on hand (1) to make you feel welcome and supported, (2) to organise free, optional and unforgettable walks of all grades and (3) to pass on their local knowledge enthusiastically and constructively. Here in the UK, most of us have lived and worked in our destinations – myself included. We use our first-hand knowledge to ensure your booking experience is a reassuring pleasure. How about taking your final summer break to new heights in Austria's Tyrol?
Or, at least, put it on your 'go-to' list for next year?

Wind down for the approaching cooler seasons with a Village-to-Village break you can take at your own pace after the frantic summer period.

You can have it all with a last-minute expedition to Corsica, which will offer you sunny mountains, sea and sand in the Med's most mountainous island. A self-guided trip, each day you can choose between the wildlife of the national park, the sweeping gorges of Tavignano and cultural hotspots such as the historical Genoese Bridge, depending on your interests.

Sils is a village hemmed in by two sparkling lakes of teal-blue water. We are based in the Sierra de Tejeda, rising sharply between Málaga and Granada in southern Spain. Our guided walks feature dramatic limestone peaks, deep river gorges, whitewashed villages rich in Mudejar architecture, and panoramic Mediterranean views.
