I just wanted to say a big hello and an even bigger THANK YOU for all your amazing support. This summer has been absolutely crazy and I am certainly not complaining… This August has been my busiest and best August since starting as a Travel Counsellor nearly 20 years ago, and your fab 10/10 scores and wonderful comments have honestly blown me away.

If I’ve been a little slow replying at times, I am so sorry: I have been working flat out getting you all where you want and need to be!

Meet my rather extraordinary new arrival: The Water Tower at Sandringham.
Built in 1877, this neo-Byzantine landmark has stood above the Norfolk treetops for almost 150 years – and now, for the first time, you can stay here.
And it is certainly not your average couples’ escape.
The rooms wind upwards across four levels: a kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, a king-size bedroom overlooking the Estate, then a cosy treetop living room with a working fireplace. Then comes the best bit: climb the narrow spiral staircase and you will emerge inside the Tower’s original 32,000-gallon cast-iron water tank, now transformed into a secluded rooftop terrace. Expect uninterrupted 360° views across Sandringham and the Norfolk countryside. 🌳
The Tower was originally designed by Victorian engineer James Mansergh as part of a new water system for Sandringham House. He also recognised that its position offered a spectacular view, creating a viewing room where Royal guests once gathered for picnics. Almost 150 years later, you can look out over those same grounds.
Inside, much of that history remains: curved walls, winding staircases, historic photographs and reclaimed features from across the Estate all form part of the stay.

It joins The Folly at Sandringham and The Gardens House at Sandringham, three completely different ways to stay within this historic Norfolk estate.
