Mabel is on holiday here this week. She is a therapy dog in a large primary school in Yorkshire. She's been several times so knows her way around and knows too that I'll always give her a warm welcome if she pops around to say hello! Isn't she beautiful!

Look carefully and you will see the bravest 3yr old I know swinging high in the wonderful swing in the woods. Every family staying this summer have been to stay many times over the years and we are having the saddest of farewells in what is our last few weeks of letting out Old Oak Barn. Onwards I say to myself! 💕

Visitors to Old Oak Barn often go on a boat trip to see wildlife - usually from Tenby or around St Davids. But I see Berry the bottlenose dolphin has just given birth near Newquay!

Reading this amazing book reminded me of the hares which used to live along the hedge banks of our top fields. 🐇 🐇 🐇 I'll leave it in the barn for the rest of the summer ..... It's a truly inspirational book which has altered the way I understand wild animals.
