Côr Tadau Trisant Male Voice Choir at St Davids Cathedral once again St Davids Penknife Club are pleased to host this very special evening event. Côr Tadau Trisant is an exciting new young Male Voice Choir formed by Tim Edwards. Since their last visit to St Davids they entered The National Eisteddfod Wales Event in August 2024 & won 2nd place in the Tenor/Bass Competition. This was a fantastic achievement for their first appearance at The National Eisteddfod.

We are very lucky to have 3 Top Soloists for the evening, Tim Edwards & Peter Horton Classical Brit Award Winners formerly with Only Men Aloud, along with West End Star Louise Olley .
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear one of our best choirs & Soloists in Wales at the historic St Davids Cathedral.

🐸🚗⚠️St Davids people ⚠️🚗🐸 Please be careful of young toadlets, froglets and newtlets crossing the road between us and Dowrog Common on damp nights - they cross for an hour or so after dusk. Andy helped 18 toadlets and 6 newtlets across last night, but was too late to save the first 6 toadlets. Our team of toad patrollers will be in the road in visi vests each damp night, so please be careful of us too!

They generally cross on the bend by Llysgenydd (of course they do 🙄) just before you get to us from St Davids and then along the straight stretch of road by our lane. Also be careful driving near Waun Caerfarchell/the Airfield and by Waun Fawr, just before Rhodiad - they cross there too.

These are baby toads heading out into the big wide world from the ponds they were born in. They are starting their journey towards their winter hibernation sites, so let's help them actually make it to their very first hibernation of, hopefully, up to 10 over their lifetime.

Hurricane Erin has hit. Today we’re seeing the largest swell we’ve seen this year, which poses a great risk to beachgoers.

The combination of big surf and wind increases the likelihood and strength of rip currents. We have therefore deemed a number of our beaches as unsafe and are flying the red flag at:
🌊Poppit Sands
🌊Whitesands
🌊Newgale
🌊Nolton Haven

Newport Sands and Broad Haven are currently open, but this could change as the day goes on. We strongly advise against entering the water today. Stay dry and stay safe.

If you do find yourself unexpectedly in trouble in the water, remember to Float to Live.

If you see anyone in difficulty, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.

VJ Day 80th Anniversary Commemoration event in St Davids

This year marks the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day), the date which signified the end of the Second World War.
