Looking for work in St Ives this summer?

We have an opportunity at our office on Smeatons Pier starting in around 3 weeks time until the end of October. We don't actually work that many days but with the weather those days can be unpredictable.

A good hourly rate is offered, the role is primarily managing the check ins and conducting a safety briefing.

You will need to be available every day, our average is 4 days a week worked across the season, in primetime that might all 7 days and in quieter times one or two days.

What a night, we hope you're all okay this morning. With wind speeds hitting 111mph, hurricane force 3, the coast took quite a battering last night.

The pontoon adjoining ours broke away causing some superficial damage and we lost our wind power generator but all in all we're feeling very lucky this morning as there was a yacht adrift and at least one boat sunk.

We'll be back doing trips soon enough but even though the worst is over we still have a very windy couple of weeks ahead.

No boat trips tomorrow, obviously.

Happy new year to all our followers and friends.

We're looking forward to another exciting year, as always we have more plans to expand our safari experiences offering more opportunities to see amazing wildlife in a safe manner for you and for our incredible species.

Yesterday was special, we spent a couple of hours patiently watching hundreds of dolphins feeding from a distance and when they left we were rewarded by many of these wonderful animals coming to have a look at us giving our passengers a once in a lifetime experience as families of dolphins with their babies approached us while we just bobbed along.

We can't even count the dolphins today there are so many, literally hundreds from here up to a couple of miles out to sea. We're off towards lands end now, what a day, it's perfect!
