Introducing our team...
Meet Richard — now in his 14th year in the bus industry and currently enjoying his second stint back with Royal. At this point, he’s basically one of the originals — if Royal had trading cards, he’d probably be a rare holographic edition.
Powered almost entirely by flat whites, Richard can manoeuvre a bus through the tightest streets imaginable, although supermarket trolley steering still remains a challenge.
Outside of work, he’s a dedicated gym goer and has lost an incredible 7 stone — making him lighter, fitter, and probably more fuel efficient than some of the fleet.
And in a genuinely amazing achievement, Richard donated stem cells through Anthony Nolan to help save someone’s life. Somewhere out there is a person who may now suddenly crave flat whites and complain about traffic management.
