Thank you Simon and Steve for the amazing donation of a massive €430 that has taken the fundraiser to €4000 at last! I'm extremely happy that the goal has been reached, and after all that has gone on for me, it's an excellent end to the year.

I have an interview for a job that I really want on the 5th of January that will entail a few weeks of training in London if I'm successful followed by a possible placement in a few different locations. Wish me luck!

I'll post a clip as evidence of the trim when I've had it done in a few days.

Thank you everyone that has donated. Thank you for all of the support I've received from my family and friends (both old and new!) I'm sure it's a huge help for indonesia

I'll be taking a break from fundraising while I get my things in order, and I'll think of some new adventures or things in the future that will help. I'd still like to stay in touch with people on here, but my posts will be much more sporadic until everything has fallen into place and I know what's coming next!

Thanks again, words can't express my gratitude enough!

Thank you so much Simon Andsteve for this incredible donation that has helped the fundraiser reach its target! Awesome stuff!!!

If the €4000 target is hit by the end of the year, I will cut my hair off. So that's €463 to raise by the end of the year. I will not be getting a skinhead!

As you can tell I am doing a lot better now, almost back to normal in fact. I have been a very lucky indeed!

The GoFundMe link is in my bio. A massive thanks to everyone who has donated so far, hopefully this will get us over the line and I will decide what to do next year when it comes.

Do you think it will be achievable in three weeks? 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I enjoyed the hobble home from the train station yesterday. It was very fresh that's for sure, but it's always nice walking along the town path in Salisbury at night, it was quite bright under the light of the full supermoon.

An excellent evening with a good mate, a nice hobble home, and no hangover. I used to go to Bristol every weekend when I was younger for gigs and parties, and going when sober brings a new appreciation for what you are listening to and experiencing. It brings a new appreciation for everything really. Especially with my recent health problems.

The camera on this phone is far better than any I've had before. It was my uncle's, so thanks very much. Thanks for the ring and the early 18th century book about historic European voyages that's written in Old French. I love old stuff! It was awesome seeing you all and Luke, Tina etc. last weekend. It was strange, it kinda felt like Brett was there. If my leg hadn't been weak, I would have thrown some darts for old times' sake! I would have just tripped over the oche though haha.

It was great seeing with my good mate last night.

Unfortunately we had to leave before the end to get trains back, but what we saw, heard, and experienced was awesome. I didn't take many photos as I don't like doing that at gigs or concerts really as I prefer the experience in real time, not looking back retrospectively at a screen. Also it was hard when holding a walking stick!

I did get one short video which was the intro to the song that is layered over this post. I felt that what was said onstage was both poignant and humorous which was excellent. Particularly having lost a few people this year, and let's face it, if I hadn't made it back to the UK when I did, I could have been one of them!

When I set out on my travels, I envisaged raising a lot more money for Ellis Park, and since I stopped being able to cycle in the way that I had been able to, I had overwhelming feelings of inadequacy that still linger. Looking back on it, I was a fat unhealthy bastard, and I cycled over 5000 km so that's nothing to be ashamed of, even if it wasn't what I had hoped to achieve, so f' it, I had a good run.

Also I would like to thank everyone for their donations, which is the reason I started this. They help the team rescue so many animals and it brings me a lot of joy watching how many of them are progressing well despite having been kept in such abhorrent conditions. Just look at the page and you can see the progress of Mano as an example.

In the new year, I will be planning something else to raise more money, and I will be taking care of myself properly and not just stopping my diabetes and hypertension medication when I run out, which was likely the biggest cause of my problems, mentally and physically. I was very ill, and in a bit of a dark place and I wasn't looking after myself at all, but everything is now on the up.

Anyway, I'm much better now, but standing for such ages has left me in a lot of pain today! I find it easier walking than standing, that will get better.

This is a bit of an essay so I'll stop boring you. I have a fundraising idea for this year, and more for next year.

One of the pieces that I have written will be featuring on Thursday evening on BBC Radio Gloucestershire & BBC Radio Wiltshire from 6pm,
and from 7pm on BBC Radio Bristol & BBC Radio Somerset!

On Saturday evening it will be played on BBC Radio Gloucestershire, BBC Radio Wiltshire, and BBC Radio Somerset between 6-8pm. You can listen on your radio or via the free BBC Sounds app.

It's very strange, I wrote this in a coffee shop in Salisbury called .mill and it is part of a wider collection that I am hoping to get published when it has been completed and fully edited. Then when I got to my mum's house, she was listening to the radio and I was very intrigued as I was unaware that this was a thing!

When/if it gets published, I plan to donate 50% of all (if any, hopefully) profits to .indonesia

So tune in and listen.

To anyone new that may see this, I have been through a lot of ups and downs over the last 18 months travelling the world raising money for wildlife charities in Indonesia. Their work is absolutely vital and every donation helps immensely. I started by cycling from Portugal to Bulgaria, then I travelled across Turkiye and then through several countries in South East Asia before I got very sick and had to get back to the UK to go to hospital.

If you take a look at my bio, you'll see a GoFundMe link where you can help out. All payments are protected and go directly to the charity via the GoFundMe website.

Thanks and for sharing my piece!

A few photos from today's wandering with my brother around areas of Salisbury I didn't even know existed.

Please take a look at the caption on the previous post as it's obviously deeper than this one and more relevant to the fundraising.

I did over 20k steps which is the important thing, and if anyone wants to make a donation to help rescue and protect Indonesian wildlife there is a GoFundMe link in my bio and all money goes directly to Ellis Park and Sumatra Wildlife Centre via GoFundMe. Tell your friends and family!

I always forget how nice Salisbury actually is, and it was good to catch up with my brother for a few hours too.

This was me before I started travelling and this is me now. Kinda happy with the progress ngl.
