Days spent walking across open sand and rocky plains. Nights under more stars than most of us have ever seen. Mint tea, camp stories, brutal blisters and legs that ached in the best way.

⭐ NEW: Inca Quarry Trail, Peru 🇵🇪 ⭐

Everyone knows the Inca Trail. Fewer people know there’s another way to walk to Machu Picchu, and it’s quieter, higher and needs no permit.

Our new trek follows remote Inca paths once used to move huge blocks of quarried granite. Along the way you’ll pass Inca ruins that see very few visitors, cross valleys of forest and meadow, and climb to Kuychicassa pass at 4,450m. You then descend to the quarry where the Incas’ work was cut short when the Spanish arrived.

We won’t pretend it’s easy. Some sections are steep, and the altitude will slow you down. You finish in Aguas Calientes, ready for Machu Picchu.

Exciting Saturday news from DA HQ - we're heading out to Morocco with another group today, ready to hit the roads for our Cycle Morocco.

This is one of our newest adventures, and it's a beauty. We're so excited for the team to experience the magic of Morocco and that lovely rolling, smooth tarmac. Good luck, everyone; we look forward to seeing your progress!

You asked, we’ve answered! 🌑

Here’s your chance to join our second departure on next year's Morocco Eclipse Trek.

When we launched this trip, it sold in a week, and we have been fielding questions about it ever since. So we’ve added another date.

📅 31 July – 7 August 2027

The eclipse: On Day 3, our first day on the trail, we stop on the slopes above Chefchaouen in the path of totality. You’ll have almost five minutes of daytime darkness.

The trek: Two days into Talassemtane National Park, sleeping in village gites. Then the gorge at Pont de Dieu and the Akchour waterfalls, and a demanding summit day on Jebel Tissouka (2,122m). We finish with a day on the coast and a tour of Tetouan’s medina.

The challenge: It’s August in Morocco, so expect heat and 4–7 hours on foot most days. It’s graded Orange. Hard, but very achievable with training.

A tough trip, you all smashed it - what an achievement!

And that's a wrap on our Kilimanjaro season: 2026. What another fantastic year on the mountain with our incredible local team. Thank you and a huge congratulations to everyone who has climbed with us this year - we hope you're all still basking in the glow of your adventure. It's an iconic challenge for so many reasons, and you're now a part of that story.
