The finale…
Two contrasting vineyards and a sumptuous luncheon feast made up this wonderful line-up to finish this weeks theme week!

At Barnsole Vineyard, we enjoyed their single-estate, grown and bottled wines — which went down beautifully — accompanied by Philip’s engaging stories about the vineyard, its history, and its craft. Our guests listened intently(and drank), clearly captivated by his passion and knowledge. 🍷

We then journeyed just down the road to Simpsons Wine Estate where Julie greeted us with a warm welcome and delivered a fascinating tour of the winery. This was followed by tastings of their exquisite sparkling and still wines — the perfect way to round off a memorable day among the vines. 🍇✨

Oh, what a feast at Pig Hotel (at Bridge Place).
From the iconic drive through the beautiful grounds to the first glimpse of that amazing building, the experience was a treat from start to finish. Our guests enjoyed their 3-3-3 menus at the Chef’s Table — each dish bursting with flavour and local character. Simply scrummy! 🍽️🐷✨

Great to be back at Battle of Britain Memorial - Remembering the Few — sharing this remarkable historical site with our Holiday Property Bond theme week guests.

Major Jules delivered a fantastic commentary, guiding everyone through the Replica Aircraft, The Memorial, The Wall, The Wing visitor centre, and the thrilling Scramble Experience. A memorable day honouring the bravery and sacrifice of “The Few.” 🇬🇧✈️

Onto Domaine Evremond, where we enjoyed a brand-new vineyard experience that opened its cellar doors in spring 2025.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, our guests tasted the delicious First Edition Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvee — accompanied by a beautifully curated tasting experience delivered expertly by Jeremy, alongside those oh so stunning views across the vines. 🍇🥂

Our feasting today was at The Jackdaw, Denton.
As well as serving fantastic food, this charming pub also featured as a setting in the iconic Battle of Britain film — the perfect connection to our special day. 🍽️✈️🇬🇧

🍷A Taste of Kent’s Finest at HPB Sibton Park 🍷

Tuesday’s experience was another great highlight of the Holiday Property Bond Kent Food and Wine Theme Week!

Guests gathered in the beautiful Long Room at Sibton Park to enjoy an exclusive tutored tasting of six exceptional wines from Kent vineyards NOT featured on this week’s visits.

Expertly guided by the knowledgeable Leanne Stevens, guests savoured a delicious line-up: Westwell Wines Sparkling Pelegrim, Oast Wood's Rosé, Wayfarer Wines Bacchus, Yotes Court Vineyard Chardonnay, Cary Wine Estate's Pinot Noir, and Meopham Valley Vineyard Union Red.
Each wine was distinctive and full of character — its story brought to life by Leanne’s engaging insights.

These beautiful wines were perfectly paired with cheeses from Cheesemakers of Canterbury, presented by George, who shared fascinating insights into their traditional cheesemaking process and treated everyone to generous tastings of their mouth-watering Kent varieties. No lie — they were all simply divine! Get your Xmas orders in now!✨

To complete the experience, guests also enjoyed a fantastic selection from Moons Green Charcuterie, whose flavour-packed cured meats complemented the cheeses and wines just perfectly.✨

A wonderful afternoon celebrating Kent’s finest — enjoyed by all! 🍇

🌿 Keeping it Local 🌿

Monday’s vineyard visit with our theme week guests took us to a truly special place — Elham Valley Vineyard; The Fifth Trust. 🍇✨

Our guests enjoyed a fascinating insight from Peter Stratton, Director of Strategy, who shared how this award-winning charity supports adults with learning disabilities through meaningful work, creativity and social enterprise. 💚

With visits to the pottery, woodwork, cookery, and design ‘classrooms’, our guests had the joy of watching students eagerly prepare crafts for the upcoming Christmas Craft Fayre on Saturday 6th December. **Make a note in your diaries**🎄✨

It was a beautiful blend of local craftsmanship, care, and connection — and, of course, there was time to enjoy some of Elham Valley Vineyard’s wonderful wines, tasting four very different varieties from their collection! 🍷

To round off the day, lunch was served at Kings Arms, a beautiful Grade II listed pub set in the heart of the picturesque village of Elham, where our Holiday Property Bond guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal — the perfect way to top off their Monday with us! ✨

🍂Magnificent autumn colours welcomed our guests to Warehorne Vineyard, where Peter offered a fascinating insight into the day-to-day running of this enchanting estate and the viticulture process behind his exceptional wines. 🍇✨

What’s your tipple — sparkling, still, rosé, white, or red?

Our guests had the pleasure of sampling the full Warehorne line-up before taking their seats in the cosy drawing room at BOYS HALL for a mouth-watering Sunday roast.

This stunning 17th-century venue has just been awarded a Michelin star ⭐️, making the day an unforgettable experience for our EKVT guests, as part of their Holiday Property Bond Kent Food and Wine theme week with us. 🥂

Last night, we warmly welcomed our lovely HPB guests with a ‘hello’ meal at The Tiger Inn, Stowting.

Today’s adventures take us to Warehorne Vineyard to sample their exquisite wines, followed by a magnificent Sunday roast feast in the beautiful drawing room .Hall

✨Just look at the rich colour of these freshly harvested Pinot Noir grapes from Elham Valley Vineyard The Fifth Trust 🍇🍇
It was such a pleasure to return again this year to help pick this bumper crop - there'll be plenty of bottles coming from this lot and we can't wait to taste the results.
We're especially looking forward to bringing our Holiday Property Bond guests on the Kentish Food & Wine Theme week this November to visit this special place and taste their delicious wines firsthand!

✨🍷A little impromptu wine tasting for ourselves on our recent Hampshire getaway!
We stumbled across the gorgeous Raimes Vineyard on a circular dog walk 🐾 and ended up tasting their full flight of sparkling wines .. every single one was delicious🥂
Of course, we couldn't resist bringing a bottle of our favourite home!
Highly recommend taking a visit to Raimes English Sparkling Wine if you're in the Cheriton, Hampshire area!

Last week, we welcomed a group of Paul’s former colleagues from the City, who joined us on the Canterbury Loop Tour to celebrate a special birthday!

It was the perfect time to catch up over generous tastings at Barnsole Vineyard and Simpsons Wine Estate, followed by a luscious lunch at The Pig Hotel.. oh, and yes more wine too!

We dodged the showers today with this lovely London insurance market group on a corporate day out in Kent … for our Canterbury Loop Tour.

With delicious wines from Barnsole Vineyard, these guys were the lucky ones to have first tastings of their special sparkling Rose de Noir, with the very first cork excitedly popped by ‘Barnsole Sally’! Served chilled, it boasts gorgeous fruit flavours on both the nose and pallet.. needless to say it went down well with our guests (and us)!

A quick drive through the Kent countryside to Simpsons Wine Estate where Henry and The Glass House were waiting in anticipation. Tasting glasses charged and an exquisite selection of their still and sparkling wines (not forgetting, award-winning too) ready to be sipped and savoured.

With The Pig Hotel beckoning with its wow-wee locally produced 3-3-3 menu, our guests had two options when it came to leaving the wine estate .. down the stairs or via the helter-skelter… guess what they chose?

Surely there's no better way than spending a day with us on an EKVT tour… whatever the weather....😍

Fun was had by this jolly London team with delicious and plentiful tastings at Barnsole Vineyard and Chartham Vineyard... ! A quick hop on the bus to The Pig - Bridge Place for some great locally produced food and then time for home .. (maybe a little snooze on the train). What a great day out!

It was an absolute pleasure being asked to help harvest the 2024 grapes with the team at The Fifth Trust last week!

Secateurs at the ready it was a perfect dry and sunny day to catch every precious bunch ….
