Beach Lifeguarding: Baby CPR explained in 60 seconds⏰

The technique for a 0–12 month old is different from a child or adult, and on a beach full of families it’s exactly the situation you could face.

A few things that catch people out:
🔹Too much head tilt can actually block the airway
🔹 Compressions need proper back support to be effective 🔹 It’s two fingers, straight down, centre of the chest- not a full-hand push

This is just one small piece of what’s covered on our Beach Lifeguard Course- CPR, first aid, life support, pool and open-water rescue skills, all built into a proper professional qualification pathway.
