ing, with Emerdale Farm shop, a 5 minute drive, supplying a range of produce including the renowned Blythburgh (real )free range pork - you can see the happy roaming pigs near Dunwich Heath! Other nearby delightful coastal towns with museums, craft and independent shops, cafes, and delis include Southwold, Walberswick, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Orford with Orford Ness Nature Reserve. For those who enjoy a quieter more secluded beach, there is Covehithe and Dunwich Heath beach. You will also find some excellent pubs and restaurants in the coastal towns and on route, with many dating from the 16th centurty offering the charm of beams, open fires and some with thatched roofs. For the bird spotters RSPB Minsmere is 15 minutes away with Dunwich Heath equally close. There are an abundance of walking routes, heaths and woodlands and narrow country lanes for cycling. Castles are a short drive at Framlingham and Orford, the ruins of Leiston Abbey, with Snape Maltings offering quaint shops and food with walks through the reed beds and marshes.. For a wider exploration, the Norfolk broads are an hour away with a visit to Norwich on route, with Lowestoft north of Darsham. Nearby towns of Halesworth, Framlingham, Saxmundham, Yoxford and Bungay to name a few, offer independent shops, informal antique centres and places to rummage, with cafes and tea shops serving delicious cakes and savouries. Fox cottage is a cosy, terraced, 2 bed, 18th century cottage, ideal for short breaks or longer holidays for two adults (plus a child) and we are happy to welcome one or two small to medium dogs. The cottage retains its original inglenook / bread oven and timber framed walls. It has off-road parking, a front and rear garden facing east and west, so there is always a spot that enjoys the sunshine throughout the day. A large shed to the rear separate from the enclosed garden that can be locked, so ideal for storage of bicycles. The gardens are enclosed by fencing and hedging offering you privacy - seating and tables in both gardens are there whether you want to enjoy your breakfast outside, a quiet cup of tea or a sundowner or bbq after a busy day enjoying the attractions this beautiful area of Suffolk has to offer. The front door leads to a boot-room which then leads to the sitting room
The two bedrooms sleep three, the main bedroom a king and the second bedroom with a single bed. These are accessed by a staircase that isnt narrow or steep, as often can be the case in old cottages. The bathroom is downstairs, as is the norm with cottages of this era, and offers a large roll top bath and shower. The kitchen is well equipped for all cooking needs, with a Rangemaster electric oven and fridge with freezer compartment. The microwave and washing machine are located in the laundry cupboard in the hall adjacent to the kitchen. The cottage has WiFi and a smart TV.
