Stopped and arrested 🛵

This is the moment we caught up with a suspected drunk moped rider in Scarborough.

Shortly after 10pm yesterday, the rider of a grey Sym moped failed to stop for one of our marked cars in the Newby area.

A short pursuit ensued, ending when the rider left the road and mounted the pavement. The 33-year-old man failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

He was taken to custody, where he was later charged with failing to stop, and drink driving. He is due to appear at court next month.
