Those of you who know us know that we live opposite Carna on mainland Ardnamurchan. I thought you might like to see the view from my kitchen window looking over Loch Sunart just now. If you're really good you can just make out Carna through the trees and Andy heading home across the loch. Now back to dinner lol! 🤣😘

What an absolutely brilliant and full on weekend meeting on Carna with owners, members of the group forming a new conservation SCIO on and around Carna and then an opportunity to have a voice in leading community led marine protection. Mowi Scotland has purchased Sanda Island, off the Kintyre peninsula, with exciting plans to establish a new salmon farm and develop sustainable tourism. This multimillion-pound investment will bring 14 jobs at the fish farm and 10 more in tourism, including a caretaker couple for a refurbished hotel.

It was a busy week on Carna last week, decorating and visits from Ardnamurchan Marketing and RSPB plus meetings about Carna Hope Week taking place in June this year with pupils from Kinlochleven school.
