Plus, don’t forget we can sleep between 2 & 8 guests (22 in total across all 5 cottages). 4 out of 5 of the cottages are pet friendly so whether it’s a romantic get away for 2 or a family holiday with the dogs we have something to suit everyone!

Whilst the weather over the last couple of days may have stopped harvest for the time being, the farm team were hard at work on Thursday & Friday testing out their new Case combine…..And it certainly looks like it is working well & harvest 2025 has well & truly started….
Here’s hoping the team are back in action soon & harvest 2025 will restart again; when the forthcoming guests who are staying in any of our 5 luxury self catering holiday cottages will be able to nip out & walk down the road to see the team in action & watch the machinery at work. Something we know many guests enjoy watching at this time of year….

Literally 5 mins before the first rain shower started Mags caught the cows & calves enjoying the June sunshine in the field behind the Sheepfold- what a great day it was!… but as the grass & crops are in need of some water we won’t complain about the current rain showers too much.

Tonight is the start of the 2025 Melrose 7’s & whilst we might be a tad biased we think this fantastic canvas (located in the living area of our 4-bed holiday cottage, the Granary) is a great visual acknowledgment to both rugby and the annual Melrose 7’s tournament! 😉

From everyone here at Holiday Cottages Melrose we wish all the teams & spectators / supporters attending the tournament over the coming days a wonderful weekend of rugby, friendship & socialising. Good luck & enjoy 🏉🍻
