Harebeck Holidays Holiday Cottage and glamping site on a working farm in the Western Lake District. We are a sustainable diversification with an Environmental Heart & Soul.

Bowtop caravans, a camping pod, a shepherd's hut; and 5 motorhome hook ups enjoy magnificent views of Scafell Pike while being are close to village amenities. Holiday cottage on the farm sleeping up to 8 people (this is including one sofa bed). Holiday cottage in the Wellington area of Gosforth, sleeping up to 3 people. Two bowtop Gypsy caravans with large decking areas and camp fire. Shepherd's h

ut with cosy underfloor heating. Camping pod (well insulated) warmed by electric wall heater. Four motorhome pitches with electric hook ups. Shower block servicing the glamping paddock. We also offer tours of our working farm and describe our life here with an insight into the culture and history of the area.

Our Story

A Farm Diversification with an Environmental Heart & Soul. Cathryn and Brian, Cumbrians born and bred (true Cumberland Folk) have an affinity with the fells and surrounding area. They have knowledge of smugglers coves and hidden beaches with folk lore passed down through the generations. Like all local folk they are proud, friendly, resilient and optimistic leading a quieter life with placid cows, cosy cats and curious tenacious sheep.

They offer you a warm welcome to their farm surrounded by magnificent panoramic views of Scafell and the Western Lake District Valleys where Herdwicks own the landscape.

As custodians of their farm Thornbank they are living for today but farming for tomorrow and future generations.
