Unpopular opinion - lower cost does not equal better value.

I get it, travel is expensive and everyone wants the best deal. What price do you put on your piece of mind? Knowing that the holiday you book is the holiday you get? That the price you select is the price you'll pay?

With so many "budget" travel sites online, it's easy to fall victim to the "too good to be true" prices. Many online booking sites are not ABTA protected. Some have clauses in their T&Cs that allow them to change the price of your holiday by up to 8% up to 20 days before travel - no one wants to be hit with a last minute bill!

Confession time - I didn't know this before I joined the travel industry. I've been lucky enough to avoid issues with my old bookings on some of these sites. But that's exactly what it was - luck!!
