A good day at the British Amateur, with 24 out of 63 inside the top 64 after day one. 9 inside the top 20 with George Baylis and leading the way at T5. Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Alan for all that he has done over the last 20 years or so to get this tournament to where it is today.

Good results for past players at the Nations Cup in Spain. Annabell Fuller finished T3, top British lady. Jack Davidson won the mens individual event, following up his win in Australia recently. Wales won the mens team event, which as well as Jack included David Boote and Joshua Davies who made up 3 of the 4 man team. Congratulations to all of them.

Top three places after Round 2 at the Nations Cup in Spain filled by past players. Robin Dawson and Jack Davidson T1 on -4 with David Boote 3rd 6 shots back. In the womens competition Annabell Fuller 10th and Louisa Brunt T11. Good luck to all of them tomorrow.

A post for anyone who has not received the volunteer email from [email protected]. Volunteers needed for marshalling and other roles on tournament days 23rd to 25th June. Anyone who would like to be involved please email with details of which days you would like to do, whether you can do all day or just mornings or afternoons and include your mobile number. Volunteers will be fed and given rewards dependant on how many shifts you do. Also we are hoping to organise a volunteers golf competition at Nizels, possibly on the Monday after the event.
Additionally, if you know any junior golfers who would be able to help out on the Sunday, we are hoping to have scoreboard carriers with as many groups possible for the final two rounds.
Please fee lfree to share this with anyone you think may be interested.

The 2017 Challenge Tour kicks of this week with The Barclays Kenya Open in Nairobi. 11 teeing it up this week. Lets hope for another successful year like 2016 with Jordan Smith topping the Road to Oman standings.
