🇮🇹🚌 MARTIN & STEVEN ON TOUR
DAY 5 – GARDA, RIVA & TWO YORKSHIRE EXPLORERS 😂☀️
After yesterday’s adventures in Verona, today the lads were off to explore two beautiful towns on Lake Garda — Garda & Riva del Garda! 🇮🇹
The plan? Stunning scenery, Italian culture and a nice relaxing day.
Martin: “You know where we’re going today?”
Steven: “Garda.”
Martin: “We’re already at Garda.”
Steven: “No, we’re going to Garda.”
Martin: “But we’re on Lake Garda.”
Steven: “Aye, but Garda’s on Garda.”
Martin: “Who thought that were a good idea?” 🤦♂️😂
First stop, Garda — a beautiful little town with colourful buildings, lakeside cafés and views that wouldn’t look out of place on a postcard.
Steven: “Lovely place, this.”
Martin: “Aye, could live here.”
Steven: “You don’t speak Italian.”
Martin: “I barely speak English. Never stopped me before.” 😂
After a wander and a spot of sightseeing, it was time to head north to Riva del Garda, surrounded by towering mountains at the top of the lake. 🏔️
Martin: “Look at size of them mountains!”
Steven: “Aye, they’re Alps.”
Martin: “I know they’re big, I can see ’em.”
Steven: “No, THE Alps.”
Martin: “Well, no need to shout.” 🤣
Riva offered spectacular scenery, historic streets, a lovely harbour and plenty of opportunities for the lads to soak up a bit of Italian culture.
Steven: “Shall we have a look round?”
Martin: “Aye, but no getting lost.”
Steven: “We didn’t get lost yesterday.”
Martin: “We toured Verona three times looking for a coach park!”
Steven: “That’s called sightseeing.” 😂
By the end of the day, the lads had admired two beautiful towns, taken in some breathtaking views and managed to keep the international incidents to a minimum.
Martin: “Good day, that.”
Steven: “Aye.”
Martin: “Learnt a lot about Italy.”
Steven: “Like what?”
Martin: “There’s a lot of Garda about.”

Two Yorkshire lads, one enormous lake and absolutely no danger of either becoming a professional tour guide.
Italy’s surviving them remarkably well! 🇮🇹🚌🤣
