🏃‍♀️ RUNNING IN EGYPT IS DANGEROUS! 🇪🇬

Well, it certainly could be if I decided to tackle the roads outside the hotel! Have you seen the traffic?! 😳😂

But here’s the thing…

The grounds at Rixos Radamis are SO extensive that I’ve been able to create my own running routes, weaving around the internal paths without ever needing to leave the resort.

And if running outside isn’t your thing, there’s even a ladies-only gym.

But honestly, when you can get up early, beat the heat and enjoy views like THESE… why would you choose a treadmill? ☀️🌴

One of the things I always investigate when visiting hotels is how easy it is to keep active. Because for some of us, a holiday isn’t complete without a morning run before breakfast!

So, is running in Egypt safe? Within the grounds of this particular resort, I’ve felt perfectly comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend running on the busy roads outside.

And my verdict? An early morning run here comes VERY highly recommended. 🏃‍♀️

☀️ Egypt for October half-term or winter sunshine? I’m putting it to the test! 🇪🇬

I’m here in Sharm el Sheikh, experiencing Rixos Radamis for myself, and finding out whether Egypt deserves a place on your holiday shortlist.

Because there’s a big difference between reading about a resort and actually staying there!

One thing that’s already caught my attention is the range of restaurants included in the all-inclusive package. And having recently experienced resorts where certain restaurants carried additional charges, this is something I’m particularly interested in exploring.

Over the next few days, I’ll be looking at the things that really matter when choosing a holiday — the food, facilities, rooms, service and, of course, whether it’s good value for money.

And then there’s the weather… 31°C and glorious sunshine in October! ☀️

Could Egypt be a serious contender for your next October half-term holiday or a dose of winter sun?

Having recently stayed at resorts where certain restaurants came with hefty supplements, this is something I’m particularly keen to investigate.

But there’s plenty more on my checklist…

🏖️ Beaches and pools
🛏️ Rooms and facilities
🍹 What all-inclusive really includes
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who this resort would suit best
💰 And whether it delivers genuine value for money.

Because a hotel can look fabulous online, but would I actually recommend it to my clients?

Newcastle Airport? Even if you don’t live in the North East, don’t rule it out!

I’ve been putting Newcastle International to the test, and I have to say, I’m impressed.

A direct train from Sheffield, just over two hours, followed by a straightforward hop on the Metro to the airport.

I stayed overnight at the DoubleTree by Hilton, which is literally opposite the terminal. No early morning taxi transfers, no complicated arrangements, just a short walk across to check-in.

And that was smooth too!

I’m now settled in the Aspire Lounge, catching up on work before my flight. This travel consultant never really stops looking after her clients, even when she’s travelling herself!

So, my verdict?

Newcastle International is definitely worth considering, even if you don’t live locally.

With more flight options to explore, I certainly wouldn’t dismiss it simply because Manchester might seem the more obvious choice from Sheffield.

And that’s something I always consider when researching holidays for clients. Sometimes looking beyond your usual departure airport can open up alternatives you hadn’t considered.
