Shepton Mallet Prison was built in 1625 and closed in 2013, making it the countries oldest prison. with over 400 years of history behind its high walls, Shepton Mallet Prison is a must see heritage site.

NEW: Exclusive Night-Time Access 👻🔒

Ghost Hunting Behind Bars at Shepton Mallet Prison now includes a guided attempt at spirit communication inside one exclusive investigation area.

Depending on the event, you could enter the Deputy Governor’s Office, Chapel, Kitchen or Staff Mess—four atmospheric spaces normally closed during the prison’s night-time experiences.

Once inside, you will invite any spirits that may be present to communicate. Then, the group will listen, watch and wait for a possible response…
