Balea Lake can be found in Transylvania in the Fagaras Mountains (part of the Carpathian Mountains), the highest in Romania. It is a glacier lake that turns into an igloo village in the winter and offers an Ice hotel experience.

We had the unique chance to meet in the city of Brasov, a great great great descendant of Vlad the Impaler aka Count Dracula. The lady was in her working career an international history teacher. Her english was impeccable.
