Important information.
Shrewsbury railway station stop closed temporarily for all services.

Due to road works at Shrewsbury railway station, we will not be able to serve the station stop from now until further notice.

Our nearest stop is St Mary's church which is about a 5 minute walk by turning left out of the station and walking up the hill and turning left at the end of the road to the country bus stop where you will find our timetable displayed in the shelter.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Rail replacement update at Shrewsbury railway station.
Again because of the roadworks at Shrewsbury station,
the majority are currently dropping and picking up on Smithfield Road in the layby bus stop outside the Premier Inn Hotel, which is just past the bus station as anything larger than a minibus cannot use the station currently.

When rail replacement services are in operation, please check with station staff to confirm the pick up point for that particular journey.

Over the decade, there has been a few changes to the route, as well as the vehicles.

Our Routemaster coach will be operating the T1 Shrewsbury and Ironbridge sightseeing tour the first Wednesday of each month, instead of our open top modern Scania bus.

RMC1490 still has its as built, original AEC AV590 engine type fitted, although no doubt been replaced many a time in its 62 year career.

Quite a few Routemasters in the 90's and 00's had their engines replaced with modern types from various manufacturers.

RMC1490 is restored as to how she was in the late 80's to early 90's.

The stop shown is Shrewsbury The Square/ HSBC bank.

Note no bus services serve here Saturday and Sundays between 10.00 and 16.00.

Our sightseeing tour has had a lot of changes and challenges in its 10 years of operation.

It's not just the buses that have changed, but also the landscape it runs through.

You may have seen mentioned in the Shropshire Star newspaper that our sightseeing tour is back from April 2025.

The tour reverts back to its pre-covid arrangement after investment into the tour.

The tour did return eventually in 2022, but in a different format as we had to follow new guidelines in how we could run it, but it wasn't as flexible as people wanted it to be as previously.

So once again, you can hop on and off on route and come back later if you wanted.

There is also short trips available if you just wanted to go to a particular place.

We have also teamed up with Attingham Park to offer £5 off per person entrance fee, on presentation of your tour ticket on the day of travel for non National trust members.

To take advantage of this, we would recommend catching the first bus and then rejoin it 3 hours later, still given you just under a hour to spend in Ironbridge.

Details of the tour and what vehicles are running on each day are in the link in the bio.

All part of our 10 years of business and when we started running the tour.

Just 2 more Wednesdays until our Shrewsbury and Ironbridge sightseeing tour finishes at the end of August 2022.

A unique experience of travelling on a 59 year old bus, (turns 60 years old in November!) showcasing a bygone era of bus travel and enjoying the views along the tour, from the unique perspective of high above seeing views you wouldn't get to see in a car.

A very rare experience to travel on a London Routemaster these days on a bus route anywhere in the UK as well as our route being challenging for both the bus and the driver.
