I feel like every traveller needs to hear this right now…
Recent headlines about fuel shortages and travel disruption are understandably making people nervous, but some of the coverage being shared online is creating far more fear than facts.
At present, airlines are NOT reporting widespread fuel shortages affecting scheduled holidays and long haul travel.
What has been discussed is the possibility of consolidating certain flights where multiple services operate on the same route on the same day, a precautionary operational measure, not a sign that air travel is suddenly grinding to a halt.
What many headlines don’t explain is that long haul flights often carry far more than passengers alone. They also transport important cargo including pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, fresh produce and other time sensitive goods.
Because of this, long haul services are usually among the last flights airlines want to disrupt.
That doesn’t mean delays or changes can never happen, travel has always had occasional disruption, but it’s important not to let alarming headlines make you panic or give up on experiences you’ve worked hard and saved for.
I’m actually flying to Crete myself in just 2 days ✈️☀️
And honestly? I wouldn’t be travelling if I genuinely believed the situation was as dramatic as some headlines are making out.
One of the biggest parts of my job isn’t just booking holidays ✨
It’s helping clients separate fact from fear, keeping them informed, and being there if anything changes.
If any of my clients are ever affected by operational changes, I will always contact you directly and help every step of the way 🧡
For now, the vast majority of holidays and flights are continuing as normal ✈️
