What a day that was‼️ ❤️

Some excellent national coverage for Skegness today, and once again our town has shown just what it can do.

We really are fast becoming a cultural capital of the East Coast, with major events, arts, culture and entertainment bringing people into the town and putting Skegness firmly on the map.

Skegness gets its fair share of knockbacks and negative comments, but the truth is, we are actually doing rather well.

There is so much happening here and so much to be proud of. Today was another reminder of just how much this town has to offer.

Sometimes, we just need to shout a little louder about it.

Whatever it is, it was an incredible sight over Skegness today.

We’ve met some truly wonderful people in Skegness today! ❤️

What’s been particularly lovely is that many of them were visiting our town for the very first time, having travelled from different parts of the country to be here for today’s cycling event.

We’ve had some great conversations, heard where people have travelled from and, most importantly, heard how much they’ve enjoyed being here.

Hopefully, for some, today was their first visit to Skegness… but it won’t be their last! ❤️🚴‍♂️

It was wonderful to see so many people out supporting the riders and creating such a brilliant atmosphere in the town.

A huge thank you to all the organisers, the local authority and everyone involved behind the scenes in making an event like this happen.

Things are really building up here in Skegness! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

There’s a fantastic atmosphere around the town now, with crowds gathering around the Clock Tower ready to cheer on the riders.

We’ve spoken to cycling fans who have travelled from all parts of the country to be here in Skegness today, which really shows just how important an event this is.

The first riders are expected to arrive at around 3pm, and judging by the crowds already here, they’re going to receive a brilliant Skegness welcome! ❤️

What a day for the town! 🚴‍♂️👏
