As teachers, we're pretty good at planning, aren't we?

We like to have all the information, understand what's expected and know what we're getting into before we put a plan into action.

And I believe starting a business should be no different.

If you're thinking about starting something online, I think you deserve to know:

💚 What are the start-up costs and ongoing monthly costs?

💚 Are there any guarantees, and what do they actually cover?

💚 What's expected of you?

💚 How much time and commitment will it realistically take?

I want people to have this information upfront, so they can make an informed decision without worrying about hidden surprises or feeling pressured.

Because let's be honest, starting a business isn't for everyone.

But if you've been looking for a way to create an additional income stream, explore new opportunities and give yourself more options for the future, it might be worth finding out more.

You don't need to make a decision today. Sometimes the first step is simply asking questions.

Teachers this one is especially for you.

It's another long, busy term with parents evenings, nativity performances. Christmas parties and all the craziness Christmas brings in a school. Save some of your energy for December!

We are all guilty of giving everything to the job and our family gets whats left. BUT don't forget that your families deserve to have a present adult with some energy left for them.

What are you saying No to this month to protect your energy?

🎃 Pumpkin painting with my grandson turned into an unexpected little business lesson!

We had our inspiration picture, got stuck in, had lots of fun creating… and he absolutely loved the end result.

Was it perfect?

Absolutely not! 😂

But we know what we'd do differently next time, and that's how we get better.

And it got me thinking…

Isn't business exactly the same?

You don't need to be an expert before you start.

You don't need to know every answer, get everything right or have the perfect plan.

You just need to be willing to give it a go, learn as you go and make improvements along the way.

Something I definitely need reminding of when I start doubting myself or overthinking things!

Because sometimes the biggest thing standing between us and trying something new isn't a lack of ability…

It's waiting until we feel ready or confident enough.

And maybe we just need to start. 💚

It is finally half term.

No more hearing my teacher name or saying please stop patting me, I am not a dog 😂, well at least for 11 days.

You don’t have to hate teaching to want something different.

And you definitely don’t have to make a decision today about whether you’ll stay until retirement or walk away.

Maybe you still love the children.
Maybe you love your colleagues.
Maybe there are parts of teaching you genuinely couldn’t imagine giving up.

But…

You’re tired of the pressure.
The workload.

Weight still the same but exercising consistently and starting to notice some changes.
