Hambleton Valley Miniature Railway A 7 1/4" miniature railway offering a 2/5 mile journey. Motive power is provided by a 4w-2 petrol loco named 'Louis Shaw' but other locos exist inc. 3 steam!

The Hambleton Valley Miniature Railway will operate on most weekends when trains are running on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. It is a 7 1/4" gauge railway, whose main station is located beside Bolton Abbey's station lawn and travels across the station drive, currently totaling 350 yards (apx 2/5 mile return). The line features an overall station roof (made from an ex-LNER BZ's roof hoop

s!), an engine shed, workshops, carriage shed, level crossing and several stations. All journeys commence at Woodside station which is accessible through Bolton Abbey station.
