The villages, towns and cities of Settle, Ingleton, Kirkby Lonsdale, Leeds, Skipton, Ribblehead, Dent and Appleby can be easily reached in the car or by railway. The cycling and walking opportunities are endless, the Forest of Bowland is just the place to explore if you enjoy the outdoor life. Malham Cove is only five miles away with its stunning views. For those full of energy take the climb to the top. Ingleton is known for its picturesque Waterfalls Trail, a four mile circular route that takes you beside rivers and through ancient woodland, providing views of dramatic waterfalls along the way. Just the other side of Settle, White Scar Cave is well worth a visit. Explore the Ice Age cavern on a guided walk, taking you past underground streams and waterfalls, as well as prehistoric mud pools and thousands of stalactites. Lake District National Park is only a short drive away with its lakes and fells, take a cruise or scale the heights of the fells, the choice is yours.
