Final day of the course and it was time to put everything into practice 🚵‍♂️

We headed out for a ride, taking on some big hills and covering plenty of miles while applying the skills, techniques, navigation, and trail awareness developed throughout the week.

To round the course off, we finished with bike cleaning and post-ride maintenance, ensuring the bikes were ready for their next adventure.
A great week of riding, learning, and developing confidence on the trails with a fantastic group. 👌

Back in North Wales this week delivering another mountain bike foundation course for the Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training.

Today we headed over to Coed y Brenin Forest Park where we covered foundational riding skills, trail grading, trail etiquette, and building confidence on the bike.

The drop in the photo wasn’t part of the course syllabus, but the group wanted to see the feature ridden properly and how the core skills we’d been working on transfer into more advanced trail riding. 🤘

And straight into the 2-day MIAS Maintenance Course with the same group 🔧

Today was day one, covering the foundations: bike parts & terminology, tools, puncture repairs, gear indexing, brakes, headsets and more. Plenty to take in, but the group got stuck in and picked it up well 💪

Just wrapped up a MIAS Level 1/2 assessment course. Three solid days covering riding, red trails, big climbs & descents, and a navigation-focused final day 🧭🚵‍♂️

Great to see strong progression across the group and everything come together by the end. Proper effort all round 👊

And no rest… straight into a 2-day MIAS Maintenance Course with the same group 🔧
Switching focus to essential workshop skills, trailside fixes, and keeping bikes running smoothly.

Today was all about stepping it up — tackling red trails, refining riding skills, and putting everything into practice with some big climbs and fast, technical descents 💪

A proper test both physically and mentally, but the group stepped up and showed strong progression across the board. Solid effort all round 👊

A focused day developing and assessing core riding ability, and decision-making on the trail.

Strong performances across the group with plenty of solid riding already on show 👊
