I fly home this afternoon, however this morning I finally managed to get to my local beach for a 'sea bath' for the first time this visit. The beach is so peaceful as it is a Tuesday morning however can be a bit busier at weekends. This is Heywoods Beach on the west coast and as you can see the waves are gently lapping the shore. The water is shallow so perfect for little ones to enjoy; Mya and Marley have been frequent users of this beach since birth.

Now, back home to finish packing. I am very sad to be leaving my home here and this beautiful island again, however I cannot wait to see my babies again tomorrow. This is the longest we have ever been apart and I ache for them. X

There is so much more to Barbados than just the beautiful beaches. A few days ago, I ventured to two of my favourite spots on the island and .

The stunning scenery and welcome cooling breeze are what I love about these two areas. From Animal Flower Cave you can see the Atlantic waves crash against the rocks (I didn't venture into the cave myself). And the view of the east coast of the island from the top of Cherry Tree Hill is simply beautiful.

Yesterday I had a site inspection at which is located on the west cost of Barbados, close to Speightstown.

This is a stunning, boutique beach front property of 40 suites with verandas overlooking the ocean & tropical gardens.

The suites are discreetly hidden by the wonderful, lush gardens that are beautiful maintained, giving each suite privacy while also enjoying the views.

On site there is a gym, tennis courts, a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, lounge as well as water sports
Hut.

On a Tuesday there is the beach barbecue which always proves popular with guests. As well as gorgeous accommodations and surroundings, guests also have the following included in their stay:
Breakfast
Afternoon Tea
Boat trip of 15mins pp each day

The property is for adults and children aged 12 years and over (however children under 12 are allowed to stay over the festive season).

This gorgeous hotel on Barbados' Platinum Coast oozes 'barefoot chic' and it isn't hard to see why guests return here year after year.

Before nipping into the supermarket this morning, I had a wander around The Chattel Village, in Holetown. These are a collection of shops in the style of colourful chattel houses. Some lovely souvenir shops as well as clothing stores and a small restaurant which does a great breakfast.

Holetown is located on the west coast of the island and is the tourist hub of the area.

My flight took off from Heathrow at 8.05 yesterday which made for a very early start 🥱 however the flip side to this is that I landed at 12.10pm Barbados time. By 1.30pm I was at my house.

However before I went to the supermarket to pick up groceries, I had to stop by Chefette; Barbados' fast food chain. I used to go so often that the staff still remember me even though I moved back to UK nearly 2 years ago. Nothing better than a ice cold drink from Chefette, I know all my Barbados customers will be with me on this one lol.

Out of office.
