Another relaxing time this morning onboard the Alison McGregor as a volunteer with a trip down the river Itchen to Woodmill and a quick trip to see P&O’s Arvia in port before heading back into Hythe Marina, unfortunately we didn’t get time to go down and see Celebrity Apex which was also in.

A driver this morning to Weymouth Dorset for a pickup to Southampton Mayflower Cruise Terminal for P&O’s Ventura cruise ship, all not going well onboard, customers told there is a delay of 2 hours to board while deep clean is taking place, it’s happening on a frequent basis with Ventura at the moment. Not good, when are passengers onboard going to learn to do the basic stuff in washing and sanitising their hands and not picking food up with their hands, it’s not the ships fault when the staff do everything they can to protect passengers from being infected with norovirus.

After a morning pickup from Milford on Sea to Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, it was a quick dash to my favourite relaxing pastime being onboard the Alison McGregor for annual seasonal training and what a lovely day to be on the water doing it. I did wave to friends who are onboard P&O’s Iona, but no waving in return 😢, no doubt probably in the bar.

A nice wait & return booking today from Port Solent to Hambledon Vineyard for a vineyard tasting tour and lunch birthday celebration. I have to say I was very impressed with new restaurant and wine tasting building, you can definitely see a lot of investment has gone into this vineyard, it’s the home of England’s oldest commercial vineyard. It’s well worth the visit, the food is top-notch and a great facility for a wedding.

Unfortunately didn’t get time to go in to Tilbury Fort and have a look around as my customers came off the cruise ship earlier than expected. I’m back here in May and will definitely spend time looking around.
