With all the changes to travel rules between the UK and Europe, it’s easy to get a bit lost.
Here’s what you need to know:
From 2nd April, European travellers heading to the UK will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), unless they have a British or Irish passport, are a UK citizen or meet other exemptions. The current cost is £16.
As for UK travellers heading to Europe, there’s no need to worry about the ETIAS just yet – it’s not launching until 2026.
But here’s the catch – scammers are already taking advantage of the confusion with fake ETIAS websites. So, how can you avoid falling into their trap?
Remember, there is only one official ETIAS website – comment “ETIAS” and I’ll send it straight to you.
