Please see below the updated prices, descriptions & boat trips we offer at Brownes Thames Estuary Boat Trips:

1) Leigh On Sea to Southend Pier, Mulberry Harbour, Two Tree Island & Leigh Marina:

This trip gives you a chance to spot seals off the longest pleasure pier in the world at 1.34 miles into the Thames Estuary. The original wooden Pier was built in 1829 and replaced by the iron structure in 1889. You will also get to see the Mulberry Harbour (phoenix unit) which dates back to WW2 which were temporary portable harbours developed for rapid unloading of cargo onto beaches during the Normandy invasion in 1944. Two Tree Island is a great place to spot wildlife & numerous birds along the fantastic nature reserve so bring your camera! Leigh Marina which was called Johnson and Jago Boatyard in 1978 is situated in the quaint fishing village of Leigh On Sea, Essex, along the coast from Southend On Sea. Also in close proximity to the marina, is Two Tree Island which is part of the National Nature Reserve, a 640 acre island noted for its outstanding beauty and varied wildlife. Duration: 2 hours

Starfish: Β£400.00 (cost is for 6 passengers. Add additional passengers up to 10 in total for Β£60.00 per person)

2) Leigh On Sea to SS Richard Montgomery Ship in Kent (Including: Southend Pier & Mulberry Harbour):

Get up close and personal (but not too close!) to the SS Richard Montgomery shipwreck which dates back to 1944. The 1,400-ton time bomb. Loaded with enough explosives to level a town, this is the Second World War ticking time bomb ship that lies on the seabed just off the coast of Kent. View this amazing sight from outside of the exclusion zones, it's not to be missed! Duration: 3 hours

Starfish: Β£450.00 (cost is for 6 passengers. Add additional passengers up to 10 in total for Β£70.00 per person)

These Historic monuments stand in the Thames Estuary some 9 miles from Southend shoreline and 5 Miles from Whitstable. It will take approximately an hour & half to reach the Towers. Transport yourself back to the Second World War by visiting these previously armed towers built in the Thames & Mersey Estuaries to help defend the United Kingdom. They are a pretty surreal sight. You will get the chance to take plenty of photos in and around the towers as our vessel is small enough to pass between and under the structures (you cannot board them). https://youtu.be/-WXEfR-oEHM?si

βš“οΈ A beautiful day on the Thames Estuary! βš“οΈ

Starfish, our 31ft Mitchell, heading back into Leigh Creek after a fantastic 10-hour private charter to the iconic Red Sands Maunsell & shivering sands Forts for some sea fishing. The conditions couldn't have been better – flat calm seas, sunshine, and stunning views across the estuary.

Also featured in these photos is Ronnoch Mor, our Freeward 35ft and the newest addition to the Brownes Thames Estuary Boat Trips fleet. Captured on a gorgeous evening cruise, the sunset over the estuary was simply spectacular.

There really is something special about being out on the water as the sun goes down. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying time with family and friends, or simply looking to relax, an evening charter offers an unforgettable experience. Add a glass of bubbly, beer or wine, some great food, and you have the perfect trip.

🍾 Food and drink are welcome onboard, or we can arrange catering from Sara's Tea Garden for your charter.

πŸŒŠβš“ A Privilege to Help Two Families This Week βš“πŸŒŠ

This week aboard Starfish, we had the honour of helping two families say farewell to their loved ones on the Thames Estuary.

On Wednesday, we welcomed Vladimir, his family and friends to scatter the ashes of his best friend near Southend Pier. We played his favourite song, Living On My Own by Freddie Mercury, shared a whiskey and chocolates, and celebrated a life well lived.

Yesterday, Ian, Julie and their family travelled from Scotland to scatter Ian's mum and dad's ashes. Despite challenging weather conditions, we found sheltered waters near Two Tree Island and gave them a fitting farewell, accompanied by their chosen song, Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree by Tony Orlando & Dawn.

A huge thank you to both families for choosing Brownes Thames Estuary Boat Trips, and to Sara's Tea Garden for the fantastic food and service onboard.

Our thoughts are with both families. ❀️ Thank you. Angus πŸ‘ βš“ πŸ›₯️ 🦭 πŸ›Ÿ ⚱️

🎣🐟 SEA FISHING WEEKEND ROUND-UP 🐟🎣

What a fantastic weekend out on the Thames Estuary aboard Starfish!

Saturday 30th May – 10 Hour Sea Fishing Trip

We departed Leigh-on-Sea at 12:45hrs and headed down towards the famous Shivering Sands and Red Sands Maunsell Forts before continuing on to the SS Richard Montgomery to check out some of our favourite fishing grounds.

What a day it turned out to be! Great company onboard, plenty of laughs, good fishing, and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. These are the days that remind me why I love being out on the water.

A huge thank you to David for organising the trip and helping make the day such a success. We thoroughly enjoyed having you all onboard and can't wait to welcome you back again soon.

Sunday 31st May – 4 Hour Stag Party Fishing Charter

On Sunday we welcomed a stag party onboard for a 4-hour fishing trip. We departed at 10:30am and initially anchored up near Southend Pier. The fishing started well, but after about an hour the westerly wind began to freshen up and conditions became a little uncomfortable.

We lifted anchor and moved into a more sheltered position on the eastern side of the pier where everyone could continue fishing in comfort.

The lads were an absolute credit to themselves throughout the trip – well behaved, respectful, had a great laugh and managed to catch a few fish along the way. Exactly what a stag party on the water should be!

Two fantastic days aboard Starfish, meeting great people, sharing plenty of laughs and enjoying everything the Thames Estuary has to offer.

Thank you to everyone who joined us over the weekend and for the kind reviews and support. It is genuinely appreciated.

We hope to see you all again soon!
