Today whilst guests were playing Cruden Bay GC we travelled a little further North to play Peterhead GC. The course has quite a gentle start but then breaks out into some absolutely phenomenal links holes with spectacular views of the sea. We would have no hesitation in suggesting a round at Peterhead GC to anyone. Great fun! ❤️⛳️❤️

Our guests from South Carolina very much enjoyed their first experience of hickory golf. If you’d like to enjoy a unique and authentic experience whilst in Scotland then golfing at Kingarrock is a must. We’d like to thank Dave and his team for looking after the gents so well, as always. He even said he can guarantee the weather……..

HOT OFF THE PRESS! The Adamson Links team are celebrating our first HOLE-IN-ONE. Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t either Graham or Andy but instead, it was our Tour Co-ordinator / Scratch Golfer extraordinaire , Dylan. The Antipodean Maestro made his ACE on the 5th hole of Panmure GC this afternoon. Congratulations Dylan, great shooting! ⛳️❤️⛳️❤️⛳️!

It was an absolutely stunning day in Angus yesterday and we were delighted to host Father and Son, Daniel and Taylor, at Panmure GC.

In 1953 Ben Hogan won his one and only Open Championship at Carnoustie Golf Links. This would be his final major victory and the only time he would ever visit Scotland. The man known as the ‘Wee Ice Mon’ by the Scots cemented his legendary reputation thanks to the help of Panmure Golf Club.

The great Hogan spent two weeks at Panmure, accompanied only by his caddy, Cecil Timms to acclimatise to the terrain of links golf and to acquaint himself with the smaller 1.62 inch British ball.

Hogan would never play in the Open again, but his legacy at Panmure remains! The sixth hole, a 414 yard par 4, stroke index 1, is named after the great man. Hogan suggested the addition of the cleverly-placed hidden pot bunker to the front right of the green. Over sixty eight years on, the members still refer to it as “Hogan’s Bunker”.

Daniel and Taylor are pictures with the sixth green of ‘Hogan’s’ hole behind them in the foreground.

Anyone who birdies the sixth on their first time playing the hole receives a memento from the club. Fancy coming to try your luck?

We’ve had a couple of great days since the Belle Meade CC gents hit town. The group have had some success in the ballot with a few of the boys getting on The Old Course through the singles ballot today.

Andy and I had the pleasure of joining KB and Forest at Kingsbarns this morning. We went off first at 6.10am and enjoyed a free flowing round. The rest of the lads played Crail and they all joined forces this afternoon for a round at Elie GC.

A busy few days in Fife.❤️⛳️❤️

This morning we attended an event hosted by The St Andrews Links Trust. It was a special event celebrating the massive contribution that St Andrews Links and golf make to Scotland’s economy.

At the event we heard from guest speakers Richard Lochhead, the Scottish Government’s minister for business and Rob Dickson, VisitScotland’s director of industry and events, as they published the results of a new economic impact study which will highlight the value of the Home of Golf to Scotland.

It’s great to be part of something that is benefiting Scotland as a whole. Kudos to the St Andrews Links for commissioning the study by Sheffield Hallam University to analyse the economic benefit to the local economy and for Scotland as a whole. A great success.

Whilst welcoming a group in Inverness we took the opportunity to play Granton-on-Spey and Cabot Highlands (Castle Stuart). Two great courses in The Highlands. One a Willie Park / James Braid mountain beauty from 1890 and the other a modern links on the banks of the Moray Firth designed by Mark Parsinen and the revered Gil Hanse. All golf lovers would enjoy both! Highland golf rocks! ⛳️❤️⛳️!
