Our final stop on our Irish discovery tour was The European Club in County Wicklow – a masterpiece designed by Pat Ruddy in 1987. A true labour of love, Ruddy has continuously refined the layout over the years, shaping it into one of the most challenging and breathtaking links courses in the world.

Uniquely, The European features 20 holes, sparking plenty of debate but ultimately giving golfers even more value and variety from their round. ⛳️

The club was recently purchased, and with significant investment planned for both the facilities and the course itself, the future looks incredibly bright. We can’t wait to return and experience the next chapter of this iconic Irish links. 🇮🇪

Today’s voyage of discovery took us to County Louth Golf Club (Baltray).
This is a big boy golf course — no dramatic coastal vistas like some of Ireland’s more photographed courses, but what it offers is something just as special: a pure, traditional links layout carved through natural terrain behind towering sand dunes.
Each hole feels organically placed, as if it’s always been there, waiting to be discovered. Baltray just keeps delivering — excellent hole after excellent hole — with that understated brilliance that sneaks up on you and leaves a lasting impression.
A club steeped in history and pedigree, County Louth would fit seamlessly into any Irish golf trip. A true gem. ⛳️❤️🇮🇪❤️⛳️

Andy and I had the pleasure of playing Ardglass Golf Club yesterday – and what a place!
A fantastic clifftop course with stunning views and exciting, memorable holes, it’s a must-visit for any of our groups travelling to the East Coast of Ireland for golf.

The club was founded in 1896, but incredibly, the clubhouse dates all the way back to 1405 – making it the oldest clubhouse in the world!

We received the warmest of welcomes from everyone at Ardglass and had a most enjoyable round of golf.

Already looking forward to the next visit! ❤️⛳️❤️

We were thrilled the boys from Mississippi were treated to a beautiful day on The Old Course! As our final guaranteed tee time of the season, it was extra special to see two Father/Son pairings—Will & Don and Brooks & Todd—create lasting memories together on a true Chamber of Commerce day in St Andrews. ❤️⛳️❤️

One of the best things about golf—and Adamson Links—is the meaningful relationships we build through this wonderful game. We had the pleasure of meeting Nate through our connection with NewClub Golfing Society. Nate, who serves as Director of Golf for NewClub, celebrated his wedding this weekend to Carly in beautiful, sunny St Andrews, surrounded by family and friends.
We wish the happy couple a lifetime of health, happiness, and shared adventures. 👰💍🤵❤️⛳️

📍 Back in beautiful St Andrews after our England excursion!
We were thrilled to celebrate with Vickie & Rufus Dorsey, who were drawn for a tee time on the iconic Old Course 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Their Scottish adventure began up north in the Highlands, staying with friends in lovely Nairn, before heading down to Fife. While here, they teed it up at:

🟢 The New Course
🏰 The Castle Course
🌊 The Jubilee Course
🌟 Kingsbarns
🏆 And of course — The Old Course

What a fantastic golf journey! We loved having you here and hope to welcome you back to St Andrews again soon.

We were honoured to be hosted by the historic Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club for a memorable day of golf with our Secession Team. A true links masterpiece, Deal provided the perfect setting for competitive spirit, camaraderie, and deep appreciation of golfing tradition.

⛳️ Royal Cinque Ports, established in 1892, has a storied legacy, including hosting The Open Championship in 1909 and 1920. Steeped in history, its challenging coastal layout continues to test golfers of all levels.

🏆 It also proudly hosts the Halford Hewitt Cup, one of the most prestigious amateur team tournaments in the world, where former pupils of Britain’s leading public schools compete each spring — a celebration of sportsmanship and tradition like no other.

Thank you to Royal Cinque Ports for your hospitality and for reminding us why links golf is unlike anything else. Until next time.

A special day at Rye Golf Club, where our Secessikn team had the pleasure of being hosted on one of the UK’s most storied links.

Founded in 1894 and designed by Harry C**t, Rye’s Old Course delivers classic links golf at its finest: firm, fast fairways, tough pot bunkers, and greens that demand precision. It may be a par 68, but it’s no pushover—every shot asks a question.

We played it in true Rye fashion: foursomes only, fast play, and full respect for tradition. The wind was lively, the company even better, and the golf exactly as it should be—competitive, strategic, and full of character.

Huge thanks to the Secretary, our host Ben and the team at Rye for the warm welcome and a day to remember on one of golf’s true treasures.

This week, Andy and I were privileged to be invited to play in the annual Royal St George’s vs. Secession match at Royal St George’s Golf Club. It was a fantastic few days, and we’d like to thank our hosts for an unforgettable experience — absolutely sublime.

Royal St George’s Golf Club, located in Sandwich, Kent, was founded in 1887 by Dr. William Laidlaw Purves with the goal of creating a world-class links course in southern England to rival those in Scotland. The club holds a distinguished place in golf history as the first English venue to host The Open Championship in 1894 and has since hosted the event 15 times, most recently in 2021.

Renowned for its undulating fairways, tricky greens, blind shots, and deep pot bunkers, Royal St George’s is both a challenging and memorable test of golf. Unique features such as the iconic thatched-roof shelter, the red cross of St George on the pin flags, and the deepest bunker in championship golf add to its character and charm.

The club’s rich heritage is also linked to notable figures in golf and literature. Ian Fleming, one of its most famous members, reimagined the course as “Royal St. Marks” in his novel Goldfinger.

Royal St George’s truly is the jewel in the crown of golf on the South Coast of England — a must-play for every passionate golfer.
