This portrait of Miss Gray of Teasses is now hanging in a private collection in Canada. Funny the things you find when you are doing a little 'googling'.

We are thrilled to be working with our amazing consigners to bring an outstanding collection in our Spring Art Auction.

Our Spring Art Auction - April 8 - April 14, 2024 will featuring art work by: Miller Gore Brittain, Jack Humphrey, Christopher Pratt, Fred Ross, Cliff Turner, Rosamond Campbell, Julia Crawford, Bruno Bobak, Herzl Kashetsky, Ted Campbell, John Hammond, William Brymner, Alan Wylie, Victorian Art Work from the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and many other artists. Also, sterling silver, gold and silver jewelry. Museum quality Deichmann, Lorenzen, Powning pottery and glass work by Demaine Studio.

David Martin (1737-1797) , oil on canvas, "Miss Gray of Teasses", 48" x 38.5", signed middle right (Framed). Provenance: From the Estate of the late Patrick Clark, Fredericton. Gift to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Sold to benefit art purchases at The Beaverbrook Art Gallery.

Due to the historical significance of this piece it will be on display at the Gallery starting on March 11.
