Thanks to everyone who attended yesterday for the Ancient Biddulph and the Mystery of Meonia event, around the Biddulph Estate. Graham Phillips regaled the group with tales of the weird and wonderful about Biddulph spanning 45 years since 1980.

Like true questers the group defied the pouring rain and a great time was had by all.

Our special, one-off anniversary celebration event, on Saturday 20th September 2025, Ancient Biddulph and the Mystery of Meonia, is now live for booking!

It began on 20th September 1980, when people across various parts of Britain independently received a strange invitation. Unknown to each other, a BBC PA from Liverpool and a telecom engineer from Cheshire shared a remarkable dream of the same overgrown Egyptian temple somewhere in England, which they felt they must find. In the Shropshire countryside, an elderly Spiritualist medium saw a vision of a woman in white calling her to the same location. And in Wolverhampton, two teachers simultaneously entered trance-like states and told those nearby that they needed to go to an Egyptian temple in the centre of England.

When more people began contacting the offices of Strange Phenomena magazine with similar stories, where Graham Phillips worked as an investigator, the location was identified: a mock Egyptian temple in the grounds of Biddulph Grange in Staffordshire. Along with fellow researcher Andrew Collins and some of those who had received this strange invitation, Graham explored the overgrown gardens and neglected temples for the first time. Thus began the remarkable story of Biddulph Grange, a key site in Graham Phillips’s books, The Green Stone (1984), The Eye of Fire (1986), and Strange Fate (2023).

The untold stories behind the series of astonishing, interconnected paranormal events that have taken place over the past 45 years, which have never been published in these books, will be revealed. The Ancient Avebury & the Enigma of the Megalithic Age event on 31st May 2025 proved to be an epic day for our group. The weather was glorious, and everyone agreed it was one of the best adventures with Graham Phillips so far. Thank you to all who attended and for your heartfelt contribution to such a magical event.

We hope that all who participated will come with us again on the next adventure. This will be a celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the discovery of Biddulph Grange in 1980, by Graham and his Para-search team.

This event is a one-time only, not-to-be-missed adventure at Avebury, the largest stone circle in Europe. Author Graham Phillips will lead a one-day exploration into the mysteries of this magical and enigmatic prehistoric site, answering questions that have remained unanswerable by academics and antiquarians until now. Questions such as who exactly constructed these remarkable stone monuments along the oldest trackway in Britain, and what was their true purpose?

The oldest trackway in the British Isles is known as the Michael Line or Dragon Line and includes sites like Brent Tor, Glastonbury, Uffington White Horse, Avebury and more. It was also the most crucial site in the paranormal events known as the Meonia Nine Lights Quest back in 1980, which Graham wrote about 45 years ago in his first book, The Green Stone. Described as a type of spirit quest, the story recounts the search for Nine Lights of wisdom, which were a form of secret knowledge contained at nine ancient sites along the Michael Line, each identified with one of the lights.

The account of the quest recalls extraordinary synchronicities that repeatedly occurred at Avebury stone circle, leading Graham and his team of investigators to make remarkable discoveries about the actual purpose of Megalithic monuments. These discoveries inspired Graham’s decades of research afterwards, leading to the publications of his acclaimed historical books, Wisdomkeepers of Stonehenge (2019) and The Mystery of Doggerland (2023).
