Not every safari morning starts in the dark at Jaci's Private Lodge.

Some begin with coffee, a warm plate, and nowhere to be. And then, just as you're reaching for seconds, something wanders down to the water.

So you slip down to the Terrapin Hide, sunken low so you're nearly eye level with the waterhole, and watch Madikwe carry on as if you weren't there.

The best sightings aren't always chased, you never know when the sighting will decide to come to you. 🦏☕

Travel, like life, never stands still. This month, a door quietly closes and another opens for us at Bespoke Earth.

With real sadness, we're saying goodbye to Shamwari Private Game Reserve after many happy years sharing their story in the UK. We wish the whole team all the very best.

And with great excitement, we're welcoming Hunter Hotels, one of South Africa's most loved collections of luxury lodges, from the Garden Route to Addo Elephant National Park.

Sheena shares a few heartfelt words on the journey we've had with Shamwari and a fitting farewell.
