When last as a guest did you say Thank You for where you stayed or for a great service received?

What a refreshing sight to walk into the property to find a bunch of arranged flowers in a bought vase with a handwritten thank you note. Hosted a couple from South Africa and their appreciation for their stay made me home sick, missing our culture of caring for one another.

Something this small, left a warm feeling inside of me, thinking there are still people out there that notice the hours of work that goes into hosting.

Busy with a new 1 Bed House in Stevenage.
Came for the delivery of bed and chair and thought I would be able to build it all by myself in one day - big mistake! After struggling for hours, realised I am too tired to drive home at 11pm, so I've managed to push/drag/pull the 41.4kg mattress up the stairs. Luckily I have towels, blankets and pillows here already. Second attempt now to get this build and then the small details to follow.

On the way to get the property 🏑 ready for the potential check-in of 6️⃣ nights, he decided to not take it anymore πŸ˜“. Kept on driving anyway. Just finished with the refills and a request came through for πŸ”Ÿ nights πŸ€ͺ, but with use of the sofa-bed (which I don't advertise).
God closes one door πŸšͺ to open another, just have to keep the faith with something that I enjoy so much - serving others.
Gone and got the duvet, pillows and bedding for the sofa-bed. Seeing they were driving πŸ›» from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, I thought I would put a few extra things for their late arrival to get them started πŸ‡πŸ“πŸžπŸ§€πŸͺ🍰🍫🍺.
Great feeling when you check-in on their safe arrival to get appreciation for feeling welcomed and best reception so far from all their stays. 😊

Absolutely over the moon to host a Saffa couple. I've put out more than I normally would in their hamper. I know it is all worth it when they can truly appreciate SA goodies.

Whoop-whoop! πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ Guest from California is finally arriving today until early June. I was wondering how he found the check-in process just to find out that he had his timings wrong, didn't realised the big time difference and that he is indeed only arriving today 11am and not yesterday like he thought.
Freshly baked banana bread and if he is brave, trying out some 'droΓ«wors'.
